The Wallace Rider Farrington High School Chapter of the National Honor Society is a prestigious, multi-oriented organization that only the most determined and diligent students can be allowed entry. Students are held up to higher standards in all aspects of their academic, social and personal lives. As role leaders for other students, they must exemplify the four core values of the National Honors Society: Scholarship, Leadership, Service, and Character. They must stay cognizant of their surrounding environment and should display a level of concern for the well-being of the community and their fellow peers. As members of the National Honors Society, expectations must be reached, competency must me habitual and excellence, a continual process. Members must be aware that they are a part of a community, and through leadership and service, they orient themselves and take initiative to cultivate perennial growth amongst themselves, their peers and their overall community. Members will continually practice good character, and pursue ongoing intellectual growth, epitomizing the pillar of scholarship. Members are expected to continually help their peers learn and grow, nurturing a collaborative ambience amongst the community and a collective sense of camaraderie.
